Glorious autumn day perfect for Uniting Church markets

28/05/2008 12:38:00 PM
The Trangie Uniting Church Fellowship was very pleased with the results of the morning market held on the village green on Saturday May 10.

An impressive $1170 was raised thanks to the efforts of members and supporters who set up, stocked and staffed the kiosk, the raffle table, pre-loved clothing, trash and treasure and the plants stall.

Welcome additions were the stalls of fresh flowers, jewellery, clothing, craft and olive oil provided by members of the community. Adding to the enjoyment of the delightful warm autumn morning were Mrs Margaret Woods’ group with their well-trained and well-bred rabbits, complete with stories and music.

The public support was very much appreciated. Congratulations to the raffle winners: Alison Mahony who won the sandwich press, Colleen Brabrook who won the cotton quilt and Jane Jones who took home the electric jug.
