Trangie Golf Club will host its Annual Open Golf Tournament over two days this weekend beginning with the Mixed Foursomes on Saturday.
President of the Club, Ted Brennan, said the committee was looking forward to a terrific weekend of competition and with more than $4000 worth of trophies the Club is hoping to attract players from all over the Central West.
“The course is in excellent condition, the recent rain has helped to green things up, and our House Convenor Craig Davies works throughout the year to keep things in top shape,” said Mr Brennan.
“Our Open always presents players with a great weekend of competition - some travelling from Sydney and right through the Central West”
Mr Brennan went on to mention the remarkable support of return Major Sponsor Harvey World Travel (Warringah Mall), who, in conjunction with Creative Holidays has offered a fabulous Five Star golfing getaway to Fiji.
The trip for two people over five days, includes a round of golf on a Greg Norman designed course and is valued in excess of $3500.
Former Trangie ‘girl’ Ms Joy Kinsey of Harvey World Travel (Warringah Mall) is thrilled to be able to offer Trangie Golf Club this level of support each year.
“I love golf and still call Trangie ‘home’ so it’s a great pleasure to be able to provide this level of support to the Trangie Open,” said Ms Kinsey.
The trip is provided to the winner of the ‘Lucky Card Draw’ - rather than having to take out the Championship to enjoy the bounties, it’s merely a matter of ‘being in it to win it’. All players’ cards will be thrown in for the draw.
The Mixed Foursomes begins at about 11am on Saturday following a light luncheon, with the Trangie Open hitting off at 8.30am on Sunday morning.
