Visitors welcomed to golf club

On Friday July 11 nine locals welcomed seven Manly visitors to a great day of golf at the Narromine Golf Club.

It was a 4BBB generously sponsored by Jack Cale.

Winners of the day were Peter Kierath and B Kirk, while runners-up were Tom McWhirter and S Calecraft.

Nearest the pins were won by Peter Kierath on the ninth and 10th holes.

On Saturday the Jets Old Boys held their annual golf day with prizes galore. Winners were Tom McWhirter and Jim Neave on 60 1/4, while runners-up were Matt Gainsford and Mark Shepherdson on 60 1/2. Some 44 players enjoyed themselves immensely.

On Sunday 13 players played an Independent Stableford for the golf club- sponsored trophy.

Winner was Josh Coen with 40 points from runner-up Matt Gainsford on 38.

Ball winners were Sam Ward and Craig Duff, both on 37.

Nearest the pins was R Duff on the ninth and D Treseder on the 10th hole. Next week the golf club will host club championships.
