It was a sad morning for bowls on July 8 as we heard that our very good friend Jess had passed away early that morning.
When Jess could no longer bowl she loved to come and watch our finals and any other big bowls days with our patrons Waveney and Grace.
Our sympathy goes out to her family.
On a very cold day we started our pairs championships and the ones to go through to the next round were Betty Mill and Bev Bulley, Annette Lincoln and Nancy Dallman, Jenny Lincoln and Jan Buswell, Rosalie Woods and Ruth Bullock, Ruth Coen and Marj Cosgrove, and Jeanette Short and Helen Woolfe.
The voucher winners were Nancy Dallman and Annette Lincoln.
The winner of the raffle was Mavis Leak.
