The world's most capped test rugby player George Gregan will line up for the Barbarians against his old Wallabies side in December's London Olympic centenary match at Wembley.
In fact, the Barbarians got a healthy dose of Australianisation when it was announced that not only would Gregan play for the Richie McCaw-led Baabaas on December 3, but that former Wallabies coach Eddie Jones would assist South African Jake White with the preparation of the side.
The Jones-White reunion returns the two coaches to active duty together for the first time since they guided the Springboks to the World Cup crown in France last year.
Jones is currently guiding Saracens' fortunes int he English Premiership.
Gregan, who won a world-record 117 caps for Australia, now plays his football in Japan after a spell with Tana Umaga's Toulon club last season. He joins a lineup that includes McCaw, his All Black team-mate Joe Rokocoko, former New Zealand test player Jerry Collins and South African star Bryan Habana.
White told reporters in the UK: "The Barbarians are putting together a powerful squad of all the talents for this very special match.
"I have been impressed by the positive response from so many players worldwide, and to have Eddie to assist me in the buildup is definitely an added bonus."
